Summer Camps 2025
The purpose of the summer camps is to provide young people with a favorable environment to deepen their christian faith. Especially for those children who live far from our parish, the camp offers a unique opportunity to get to know the Church and make catholic friends. In addition, summer camps in our parish are part of the sacrament instruction.
Children’s Camp (8-13 years old)
Location: Hilturanta Camp Center
Address: Petäjäkankaantie 434, 93100 Pudasjärvi
Date: June 23-27, 2025
Price: €80 per child
The camp begins on Monday, June 23rd, at 2:00 PM. We will first meet at our parish and then travel by bus together to the camp center.
You can register by contacting the clergy or those responsible for children’s catechism (Welma Hommy, tel. 040 55 81 583; welmawilliam@hotmail.com). Parents must complete and sign a written consent form, which can be obtained from the parish.
You will need for the camp: a sleeping bag, towel, swimsuit, suitable clothing for camp (i.e., for sports), and mosquito repellent.
The camp fee includes round-trip bus transportation from our parish to Pudasjärvi, accommodation at the Hilturanta Camp Center, and all meals from Monday to Friday. Payment can be made to the parish account or in cash on-site.
Youth Camp (14-18 years old)
Location: Piispala Youth Center
Address: Kurssitie 40, 43300 Kannonkoski
Date: June 19-22, 2025
Price: €185 per youth + €15 for transportation
The camp begins on Thursday, June 19th. We will leave from our parish towards the Piispala Youth Center by carpooling, so the departure time will be agreed upon later.

You will need for the camp: a Bible, notebook and pen, Kela card (Finnish social security card), your own medications, a sleeping bag or your own sheets, a towel and your own toiletries, suitable clothing for camp (i.e., for sports), and mosquito repellent.
The camp fee (€185) includes accommodation at the camp center and all meals from Thursday to Sunday. The payment must be made by bank transfer to the account of St. Henry’s Parish, as they are responsible for organizing the youth camp. (Name: Pyhän Henrikin katedraaliseurakunta; Account number: FI61 1014 3000 2118 01; Message: “Pyhän Henrikin vahvistusleirin maksu + Young person’s first and last name”). The transportation fee (€15) is paid separately to the Oulu parish.
